Our CQC consultants are health and social care professionals of many years, with extensive qualifications and will have held senior positions within the sector, they will also typically be CQC inspectors or similar and will always hold a current DBS.

Elaine Edwards

Elaine has been privileged to manage a wide range of Adult Social Care services for over twenty years and is considered an expert within domiciliary services.

She has held numerous positions from Compliance and Quality Manager to Regional Manager.

Whilst managing regulated services, Elaine was able to utilise her skills to increase standards, work efficiency and staff retention alongside CQC compliance and maintaining regulatory requirements in accordance with CQC key lines of enquiry.

Her CQC knowledge and regulatory experience were fundamental in Elaine being head-hunted for the position of Operations Director for a National Social Care Compliance Company.

Elaine played a pivotal part in developing the business, recruiting highly skilled service specific consultants, formulating reports and assisting organisations to achieve positive outcomes. This gave Elaine a real feel for Social Care Compliance and was ultimately the reason for Elaine setting up Care Sector Compliance & Consultancy with her Co – Director Stuart.

Elaine has a particular interest in building relationships with new organisations, providing CQC help & support and working with our CQC Compliance Consultants to ensure they are correctly placed to utilise their skills effectively.

Stuart Winward

Stuart is a highly skilled Health Care Compliance Consultant with twenty-seven years’ experience.

He has managed a range of CQC regulated services and therefore fully understands the importance of effective leadership, teamwork and how these together alongside quality training and robust compliance systems impact on the integrity of a business.

Stuart is considered a specialist within Adult Social Care.

For the last 10 years he has been utilising his skills together with his strong social care values which have enabled him to provide a wide range of social care consultancy to a variety of Adult Social Care, CQC regulated services. Setting up Care Sector Compliance & Consultancy became the natural progression for Stuart, enabling the directors to consolidate their skills and provide a wider range of services to a larger demographic.

In conjunction to Elaine, Stuart is very proactive within business. He has a particular interest in the relationship between person-centred care and regulatory compliance and how this should be implemented. Stuart also takes an active role in monitoring the effectiveness of care sector compliance systems.

As a qualified Training consultant, Stuart takes the lead on developing all CSCC training. He has a special interest in developing and delivering national recognised evidence based service specific Moving and Handling ‘Train the Trainer’ programme.

Alasdair Gallacher

Alasdair is a website specialist with years of experience in web strategy, website design, web development and search engine marketing.

He was worked on many websites within the care sector, providing advice, support and knowledge.

Alasdair’s mission is to make it simple and cost-effective for businesses within the care sector to own a website which is not only successful, but represents their brand in it’s best light.

Not only does Alasdair design and build websites, but he has experience and skills in website consultation and website training.

Care Sector Specialist Training Team

All are training consultants are subject specialists with extensive knowledge and qualifications of the subjects they teach. They hold advanced teaching qualifications and will have worked in a hands on and managerial capacity within adult social care. Consequently, enabling them to deliver training that really makes a difference. All training is evidence based, service-specific and designed to work alongside the key lines of enquiry.
